Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

This policy explains what data ReelNaut collects, why, and how you can control it.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address and profile picture from the sign-in provider you choose (Google or email link).
  • Series settings: the niche, style, voice, schedule and custom instructions you enter, and the videos, scripts and images generated from them.
  • Connected channels: the channel id, name, handle and avatar of social accounts you connect, plus OAuth access and refresh tokens, stored encrypted.
  • Performance data: view, like and comment counts for videos we published, read through the platform APIs to show your dashboard.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept for security and debugging.

2. How we use it

  • To generate your videos with third-party AI providers (OpenAI for scripts and images, ElevenLabs for narration, and video-generation providers for motion). Only the text prompts and settings needed for generation are sent to them; they do not receive your social tokens.
  • To upload videos to the channels you connected, at the times you scheduled.
  • To show statistics and notify you about failures that need your attention.
  • To bill you for paid plans (payment details are handled by our payment processor; we never store card numbers).

3. Google and YouTube data

ReelNaut uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we access: your channel ID, title and avatar (to show which channel is connected), permission to upload videos to that channel (youtube.upload), and view/like/comment counts of the videos we uploaded (youtube.readonly) so you can see them in your dashboard. We use this data only to upload the videos you scheduled and to display your own channel statistics; we never sell it, use it for advertising, train AI models with it, or let humans read it except for support at your request. You can revoke our access at any time from the Channels page or at Google account permissions. Revoked tokens and cached statistics are deleted within 7 days.

4. Storage and retention

  • Generated videos and images are stored in Cloudflare R2 and served through public links so the platforms can fetch them. Delete a video in the app and the file is removed.
  • Account data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account from Settings and all data, including connected-channel tokens, is removed within 30 days.

5. Cookies

We set only strictly necessary cookies: the sign-in session cookie (so you stay logged in), a CSRF protection cookie during sign-in and OAuth flows, and, during the private beta, an access-key cookie. These do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. We do not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Payment pages are served by Paddle, which sets its own cookies under its privacy policy.

6. Sharing

We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service (hosting, database, storage, AI generation, payments) under agreements that restrict them to processing on our behalf, and with the social platforms you connect. We do not sell personal data.

7. Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data from the app or by emailing support@reelnaut.com. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
